CHARLOTTE, NC — Quality of life website Niche.com, which specializes in all different types of rankings, including schools, has created a new list that is a bit different than the usual lists the company is known for. In this one, Niche has ranked what it says are the top 100 schools in North Carolina.
In this list, Niche prefers private schools. In the top 20 of the list, for example, 14 of the best schools are private, according to the rankings. Public schools from Chapel Hill-Carrboro City, Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Guilford County are also well represented on the list.
It is important to remember that every school on this top 100 list receives either an A+ or an A for an overall score from Niche.
Niche’s methodology is based on an analysis of academic and student-life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, and feedback from Niche.com users. You can read the methodology by clicking here.
Here are the top 100 schools in North Carolina for 2018, according to Niche. (If you want to read reviews and why a specific school received the ranking that it did, please click on the hyperlink at the bottom.)
